Stitched Together Since 1994

The Kempenfelt Quilters’ Guild has been bringing quilters together in the Barrie community since 1994.

What began with a group of quilting enthusiasts has grown into a welcoming community of quilters who share their skills, creativity and love of the craft. Over the years, our members have continued to learn from one another, explore new techniques and celebrate quilting in all its forms from traditional designs to contemporary and modern quilts.

Community has always been an important part of who we are. Alongside our regular meetings, workshops and social activities, KQG members have dedicated countless hours to creating quilts and other projects for charitable causes and people in need.

More than 30 years later, our guild continues to be built on the same things that bring quilters together: creativity, friendship, learning and a desire to give back.

From our first stitches in 1994 to the quilts we’re creating today, we’re proud of the history we’ve sewn together and excited for the chapters still to come.

Quilting With Purpose

At the Kempenfelt Quilters’ Guild, our love of quilting extends beyond the quilts we make for ourselves. Giving back to our community has long been an important part of who we are.

Through our charitable projects, members use their time, creativity and skills to create quilts and handmade items that can offer warmth, comfort and support to those who need it. Working together on these projects allows us to share the craft we love while making a meaningful difference in our community.

Every donated quilt carries a little piece of KQG with it, a reminder of what can happen when creativity, friendship and generosity are stitched together.
